Creative expression Preliminary deliverable proposal
1. My proposal for this writing workshop will be that of a fiction story of a young boy
traveling to meet his family in a different land.
2. My working title: On the Other side
3. The scope of the story will be for a reader that likes to read about how challenges and
obstacles can be overcame with determination. The purpose of my story for readers to
learn of the struggles of Martin in his journey to the other side trying to find his family.
The effect on reader to have compassion on the simple struggles of others.
If you choose to write fiction, write a narrative of the plot from start to finish. Don’t worry about how smoothly it reads or whether you have all the details worked out. You may or may not be using this plot narrative in your final version, but you need it to help you see how to write the dialogue and move the story along. Next, define your characters, at least in general. In fiction, characters are critically important, so they need to be very clear, but for now, it’s enough to give them broad descriptions, but try to develop your characters well.
