1) “I agree with the statement that math doesn’t require creativity. Although math may have been discovered and proven with intuition and speculation by someone, that was years ago and many of the mathematical formulas are set in stone by now. math does help creators in all regards whether its an artist trying to maintain the proper ratio of paint in a painting or a musician utilizing cadences to keep rhythm. there may be an instance down the road when more mathematical formulas are created I’d think the person/people who did accomplished this as creatives. don’t get me wrong, I feel mathematicians have some of the greatest minds in the world and I don’t doubt that they are creative, but I think math is separate from that.”

2) “For most of my life I never struggle with math until I started doing geometric. I remember that I struggle understanding simple concepts and manage to get the answers right, however knowing the process of actually working the problem and understanding the process I was lost. Now being an adult and understanding that math is really a language makes it a bit easier to comprehend. As long as I continue to find the way the process works and why it works that way, I am able to understand what is happening. Not really understanding the concepts can create the anxiety, especially not really understanding the problem. However a way to battle that is to take a mental break and tackle it again after the mind is at ease and you are able to give yourself time to start from the beginning and find that missing link that is creating that anxiety.”
