Please read the following passage and answer the question below. In a separate document, answer the below questions (2-3 pages) and attach that file. My preference is that it is a word.doc so that I can add in comments for you to see. Additionally, I’ve used sub-bullets below to help ensure you see the different parts of the question but what I’m looking for is standard sentence writing in a paragraph(s) and not just bulletined answer.
“Life is tough. There is not enough water and food to go around, and even if there were, the strongest will take from the weak. In this kind of brutish environment, those that band together under a common leader have the best chance of survival and in fact, a strong central government will be best as it will instill order throughout the land. No community ever achieved greatness by showing mercy, weakness or reservation. Instead, it is those communities that seize the opportunity to become stronger vis-a-vis their neighbors that have the best chance of survival. And for all of the talk of individual liberties and freedoms, you can’t enjoy them if you’re killed or enslaved by other lands that did take their opportunities.”
Although the above passage is not a direct quote from the reading or philosopher, it does reflect some of the ideas we’ve discussed. There are main subquestions for this assignment
Question 1 (50 points)
1a. Of viewpoints and/or philosophers we’ve talked about in this class,
a) identify one that you feel is line with the above view
b) explain why it fits that philosopher

a) that would be a counterpoint (disagree) with either all or part of the above
b) explain why this second viewpoint is different
Question 2 (80 points) In February 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine. I’ve posted an article below that I summarizes several items (here is a link as well) https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56720589
2a. Using the theory of realism, explain how it can apply/describe to why Russia attacked Ukraine or in how other countries (ie; not Russia/Ukraine) have responded?
2b. Using the theory of liberalism, explain how it can apply/describe to why Russia attacked Ukraine or in how other countries (ie; not Russia/Ukraine) have responded?
Question 3 (20 points) Pick a field in political science and explain how it could be used to view why Russia attacked, Russia or Ukraine’s actions after the attack, or actions by neighboring states. (so for this, I’m looking for you to identify a field, and then say, this field could be used to view “XXXX” because the field deals with YYYY, and where you’ll tell me the field, what XXXX is and what YYYY is.)
