You will complete a literature review by surveying scholarly articles, books, and other peer-reviewed sources relevant to a research topic in criminal justice. Our goal is for you to produce a focused, organized review of research in their topic area. Some general guidelines for your final paper:
- At least 5-7 pages in content length (excluding title page, references etc.)
- Title page
- Introduction
- Content/critical thinking, analysis & interpretation- Discuss findings and conclusions of pertinent literature)
- Conclusion – Summarize and synthesize arguments and ideas of authors
- References
- APA7 formatting
- Utilize content from the scholarly sources
- Please submit this assignment on time. Please pay close attention to the requirements of this assignment. Check your spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure. Remember, this is NOT a traditional research paper, it is a Literature Review. Only peer-reviewed studies are used in a Literature Review. Only peer reviewed or .org or .gov is allowed and will be graded. Use the correct APA7 formatting for in-text, references, writing, etc. Please review the rubric for this assignment. This is how you will be graded.

- Your oral presentation should be an organized review of the literature review you have prepared during this course. The oral presentation should:
- Discuss relevant research findings
- Review the strengths and limitations of the cited research
- Discuss the conclusions and implications of your research
- The goal should be for a concise, informative review of your work, with a target of about 5 minutes in length
- Make sure you review the rubric for this assignment. This is how you will be graded. Please note: there MUST BE ORAL COMMENTS. (YOU MUST TALK AND YOU MUST SHOW EITHER A POWERPOINT OR GOOGLE SLIDES) There is a section on the rubric for how this assignment is to be prepared. Please pay close attention to what should be included in this oral presentation. Technical grading: You must have Multimedia product including two or more working special effects in your slides such as active Internet links, custom animation, original photos, branching etc. which is all appropriate and enhanced in the content. You cannot receive points if you do not speak and have a creative PowerPoint or Google Slides.
