Description

Task description

You will be asked to capture your participation, ideas, answers, notes, and reflections in real-time as you progress through the unit.

To keep such a record, you are expected to set up and maintain an electronic notebook where you record your active participation BEFORE, DURING and AFTER class.

Your active participation should take place before, during and after class, as follows:

Before class, you should take notes of what you gained from the assigned readings/cases for each topic, e.g.: What for you were the main insights/takeaways gained? How does the reading build on previous topics we have covered? What do you want to learn more about? What additional questions are raised by the readings? Is there anything I disagree with, or would be different in the country I am from/other countries I have lived or worked in?

During lectures and tutorials, you should aim to do more than just take notes – although taking notes is important, as not everything is captured on the slides. You will also have the opportunity to engage more actively with the class material by answering questions, asking questions of your own, and providing your own examples and experiences, applying frameworks and solving At the end of the lecture, you will be given some ‘exit questions’ to reflect on.

After class you should address the exit questions, which are posted in the lecture notes. You are also expected to reflect on the day as a whole, such as: What are the key learnings from the day? What did I learn from the group discussions and from other students? How did the lecture content relate to each other? Reflecting on the class discussion, tutorial activities and group answers, is there anything that I would like to add to the points that were raised? How have my initial understandings of the topics changed? Is there anything I am still not clear about? What advice could I give an exporter based on what I have read/learnt in class last week?

You will be asked to capture your participation, ideas, answers, notes and reflections in real-time as you progress through the unit. To keep such a record, you are expected to set up and maintain an electronic notebook. Please make sure that your e-entries clearly indicate which topic you are commenting about (e.g., Topic 2: Export readiness) and the date.

We encourage creativity and exploration in this assessment and encourage you to use images, visuals, creative formatting and/or other resources to capture your reflections.
