Specifically, I would like you to think of a new physical retailer or one that you would like to improve. I would personally prefer that you select your own team project “brand” if possible!! Please go through my PowerPoint in Week 8 about Retail Design, and my Tuesday class comments about store design. Based on this material, explain specific changes that you would like to make for the store’s exterior, front of the store, store circulation, and effective use of hotspots/visual design.
Please discuss the changes that you would make in each of these different areas. Show pictures when appropriate! This discussion board does not handle pictures well. If you have little success, consider adding a file in the insert image area. You might instead attach pictures. Yet, explain your ideas in about a couple paragraphs, or so, for each area.
I would love it if you select your team project for the course! Even if you are being a little bit hypothetical, and do not even think that the firm will take such a direction, it would be ideal for you to select your firm! Indeed, feel very free about using ideas here for your final paper if they eventually appear to be appropriate. What could you select? For Chevrolet? You could come up with a dealership design. For McDonalds, you could come up with a new prototype McDonalds. Finally, for Walmart, you could come up with a new store design that will improve its fashion (clothing) image. I am open about changes, for your store design, that move away from these areas, in the above sentences. Yet, email me a little bit early to get approval.
