Description

write a 4 page report (750 – 1,000 words EXCLUDING citations), double-spaced, summarizing the content of a current or historical book or article related to the Information policy. If it is a current book, project the trends forward to the next decade. If it is a historical book or article, discuss how accurate it was in predicting what has actually occurred. There are some suggestions below. Using online and printed resources from the library will help you find something of interest related to a topic of your choice. Google Scholar and other online searches may also help. Your report will be graded using the following criteria:

  1. Provides a succinct summary of the main thesis of the book/article with a few relevant examples (DO NOT give a blow-by-blow description of the contents);
  2. Provides an analysis of the relevance of the content to information policy;
  3. Provides concluding remarks giving your opinion of the thesis, the predictions that may have been made in the book based upon what you have learned so far in the course;
  4. Provides proper citation for the book and any references used (at least 2-3 outside references are required);
  5. Well-written with use of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, word count, and appropriate level of English.

NOTE: you may NOT use one of the required textbooks as your book to review.

A list of recent books related to information policy and social impact is attached to help you find an interesting book to review.
