  1. police have the primary responsibility for detecting and investigating crime to include gathering evidence, arresting suspects, testifying in court.   10. Choose one example of misconduct. Identify a news story in which this misconduct was evident? What happened? What does the textbook recommend as a remedy for police misconduct?
